- Greenway del Lago di Como: A beautiful 12 km trail from Colonno to Griante, passing through picturesque villages like Sala Comacina, Lenno, and Tremezzo. The path is well-marked and can be started from any village along the way.
- Cammino dei Borghi: A shorter alternative along the lake that connects Brienno, Laglio, and Carate Urio—perfect for a relaxing walk with lake views.
- Brunate to Faro Voltiano: From the top of the Como funicular, this 1.5 km trail leads to the Volta Lighthouse, offering one of the most breathtaking views over Lake Como.
- Brunate – Monte Boletto – Monte Bollettone: A more challenging trail starting from Brunate to Monte Boletto (5 km one way), with the option to continue to Monte Bollettone (+8 km)
- Monte Bollettone from Alpe del Viceré: A gentler alternative, starting from Albavilla’s Alpe del Viceré.
- Pian Rancio – Monte San Primo: A 5 km uphill trail with a rewarding stop at Rifugio Martina, famous for its hearty polenta and pizzoccheri.
- Monte Bisbino: Reachable either by car (with short panoramic walks from the top) or via more intense hikes from Rovenna or Moltrasio.
- Sentiero delle Espressioni: A unique 10 km trail featuring wooden sculptures by local artists, surrounded by forest and lake views. It stretches between the Alpe di Colonno and Monte di Lenno, above Moltrasio and Schignano.

How to Reach Como
• By Train
Como is well-connected and easy to reach by train:
- From Milan Centrale or Milano Porta Garibaldi, take a direct train to Como S. Giovanni (approx. 40–60 minutes).
- From Lugano (Switzerland), regular trains also arrive at Como S. Giovanni in about 1 hour.
- For travelers coming from Milan Cadorna, you can take a regional train to Como Lago station, which arrives right in the heart of the city, near the lakefront and the funicular.

Enjoy a scenic drive through the Lombardy countryside or along the picturesque lake roads.
Highways connect Como to major cities:
- From Milan, take the A9 Autostrada dei Laghi (approx. 50 min).
- Parking in Como is available in designated lots such as Autosilo Valmulini or Centro Lago.
